IrCOMM2k is covered by the GNU General Public License (GPL).
You may copy and use IrCOMM2k free of charge. You may as well add your own
modifications to the source code, if you re-distribute the result once again covered
by the GPL. Additional details can be found in the GPL.
The ready-to-use driver software as well as the source code are available for
download, compressed
in ZIP-files. They can be opened and unpacked with commonly available
decompression-tools.

You also need to disable wireless image transfer in "Wireless Link" (see
manual).
If you experience any problems, please test with the previous
version. I might have added an "unwanted feature".

To compile it you will need the Windows 2000 DDK and Visual Studio 6.0.

This DLL enables real-time capturing of IrDA packets with Ethereal and
WinPcap version 3.1 beta 3
(IrCOMM2k 2.x is required to be installed). Copy the contained DLL to C:\Windows\system32
overwriting the original one.
The debug log level of IrCOMM2k can be set by appending ",<log_level>" to the interface
name "\Device\IrDA2k".

This patch is against WinPcap 3.1 beta 3. See winpcap-irda.txt for further details.

The latest version of the Linux tool irdadump allows offline capturing also on this platform. Look out
for irda-utils 0.9.16 or later, e.g. at Jean Tourrilhes'
IrDA site.
To enable realtime capturing on Linux, a recent libpcap version is required (0.8.1 or later).
